Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

An opportunity has arisen to recruit an experienced  Area Development Manager with drive and ambition in support of one our well-established UK Drainage Depots. This role is reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, and will involve developing new business opportunities as well maintaining existing relationships.
Hours: Monday to Friday – 37.5 Hours per week.
Salary : Depending on previous experience + uncapped earning potential

RESPONSIBILITIES – BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Targeting and sourcing new business across the region
  • Managing incoming enquiries from new and existing clients.
  • Attending site visits to evaluate work requested
  • Quoting for works quickly in accordance with costings and scope of work
  • Proactively following up on quotations to secure business
  • Utilising reports in support of quoting remedial works.
  • Upselling to existing clients, maintaining relationships and understand future needs to secure business
  • Managing your own diary, administration
  • Working closely with depot manager and operations teams to achieve sales targets and forecasting
  • Travelling to various locations and regional training events & meetings
  • Attending sales events, networking events
  • Supporting the client during the entire process to ensure the smooth running of works completed.
  • Proactively selling the services through advertising campaigns and linkedin etc

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE:

  • Business to Business Sales experience essential
  • Service industry sales experience - ideally with drainage/waste management or construction related industry or multi utility essential
  • Excellent work ethic who can go above and beyond to ensure the best service is delivered
  • Desire to succeed in a niche but highly rewarding market
