This role involves overseeing maintenance operations for long-term care facilities, primarily in the El Paso area. Reliability, trustworthiness, and consistency with attendance are essential, as is the ability to multitask, work collaboratively, and thrive in a dynamic environment. ---------------------------------------- Your Impact as an Area Maintenance Supervisor In this role, you will: * Oversee Maintenance Operations: Supervise maintenance staff, schedules, and functions across multiple facilities. * Perform Maintenance Tasks: Ensure the physical plant and equipment are safe and functioning efficiently. * Manage Preventive Maintenance: Establish, implement, and audit preventive maintenance programs. * Supervise Contractors: Oversee outside contractors for necessary repairs and projects. * Maintain Safety Standards: Conduct and document inspections of fire control systems and coordinate monthly fire drills. * Promote Safety Awareness: Participate in new hire orientation to promote safety, disaster policy, and overall awareness. * Budget Management: Work within repair, maintenance, and project budgets. * Stock and Equipment Oversight: Order and maintain supplies and equipment, and repair tools as necessary. ---------------------------------------- What Makes You a Great Fit We’re seeking someone who: * Has a high school diploma or GED (a college degree is desired). * Brings 2-5 years of experience in a long-term care maintenance role. * Has excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills. * Demonstrates genuine care and interest in elderly and disabled individuals. * Complies with the Patient Bill of Rights, Employee Responsibilities, and safety policies. * Has experience with heating and air conditioning, boiler and water systems, washers, dryers, and emergency power generators.
