JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Manager to oversee Dave’s Hot Chicken Canada’s operations in British Columbia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently, driving business development initiatives, and implementing process improvements. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker who can negotiate effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Area Manager will oversee the management team, set goals and objectives, hire and train new employees, and manage the financial budget for multiple locations. At Dave’s Hot Chicken, we are looking for an individual who is passionate about food and has experience leading a team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in operations management or a similar leadership role.
  • Strong background in business development, project management, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.

Customer Experience

Responsibilities

Primary Duties - Business Operations

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Manage the financial budget by monitoring inventory levels, labor costs, and other areas of budgeting for multiple locations
  • Manage and assume overall responsibility for the success of assigned stores
  • Monitor and control food and beverage purchasing, product inventory and cost control of your stores in cooperation with GM
  • Monitor and control labour management of your stores including labour costs, staffing levels, scheduling, and employee engagement
  • Implement initiatives and directives from Canadian corporate or franchise headquarters
  • Provide day-to-day support during the rollout/implementation of newer systems/processes and gather feedback

Customer Experience

  • Create and lead development sessions target at managers and shift leaders
  • Create a team that actively recruits and retains a diverse workforce in across all levels
  • Promote an inclusive culture at all levels of the organization

Operations Support

  • Coordinate with VP of Operations and other Directors to lead New Restaurant Openings (NROs)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of operations across departments.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct regular audits on all areas of operations to ensure compliance with company standards and company policies.
  • Oversee all areas of production including food preparation, baking, cooking, baking icing, packaging etc. to ensure product is made in a safe manner while adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that safety procedures are followed at all times to prevent accidents from occurring.
