Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for providing Account Management to clients across a number of contracts with regular travel between client sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN AREA MANAGER:

  • Ensure contracts are operating to specification by conducting site visits, conducting regular Health and Safety audits
  • Retention of all existing contracts, ensuring protection of our margin
  • Identification of new business opportunities to include both hard and soft services
  • Create and maintain a profitable service delivery model for all contracts to include integration of bundled services where possible
  • Operational project management of all new business contracts awarded
  • Assume financial responsibility, in conjunction with the Operations Manager on the Profit & Loss account to include wages, equipment, consumables, etc.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and direction to site teams
  • Performance management and development of site teams in conjunction with HR
  • Ensure the business sector is fully compliant with Industry Standards, relevant employment legislation, JLC requirements, ISO and Company policies and procedures
  • Prioritise health and safety at all levels
  • Communication with the Operations Support team regarding rostering of contracts, ensuring overtime is kept to an absolute minimum
  • Conduct training, conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures
  • Actively participate in Industry Awards
