ABOUT US:

Super Speak is a well established Melbourne based company that delivers a fun & educational program combining public speaking & drama for children.
Super Speak has been trusted by over 65,000 students since 2006. Through our unique curriculum, fun approach and passionate teaching team, we help children improve their communication skills & confidence for life.
Join our talented team who deliver the program to children aged 6-14 across 18 Melbourne venues each week.

ABOUT YOU:

You are passionate in teaching either drama, speech & drama, primary education, performing arts or public speaking to children.

You may be one of the below:

  • Someone with a natural aptitude for teaching with experience attending drama, performing arts or speech & drama classes through your teen years; or
  • Someone with experience teaching children aged 6-14; or
  • A performer or actor with teaching experience looking to make a change away from performing and into a more stable long term employment opportunity; or
  • A primary teacher, secondary teacher or drama / performing arts teacher seeking a change away from the schooling system into a more entrepreneurial, hands-on and practical role

Most hours for a full time Area Manager will be approx between 12pm - 8pm (Monday to Thursday) and 9.00am - 3.30pm (Saturday), but there may be options to alter these hours during school holidays and during quieter weeks.
You will be comfortable being “hands-on” to ensure your venues are operating smoothly and that your teachers are well supported. You will travel between your venues within your territory as required.

As well as the above, you will be someone that:

  • has a fun, professional nature and able to relate well to children and parents
  • has excellent verbal communication skills, organizational skills and a “can do” attitude
  • is self motivated with a history of exceeding expectations
  • prides themselves on their work ethic, reliability and punctuality
  • has a current Work With Children Check card or a VIT registration
  • has a reliable car & driver’s license
  • is proficient in Microsoft word and has a professional phone manner

It is desirable but not essential for you to have a tertiary qualification (either arts, performance or teaching) or an equivalent professional experience or significant other training – ie. in speech & drama, acting or drama schooling throughout teen years.
Please only apply if you are confident in your ability to commit to Super Speak for at least three years.
