YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or significant relevant industry experience
  • Experience in people management
  • Experience within the paediatric environment, preferably with infants
  • Proven capacity for leadership in a team environment and ability to work well as a senior team member
  • Experience with staff recruitment and training
  • Experience with database management

  • Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtain
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • A current Victorian Drivers Licence, as the ability to travel between maternity hospitals is essential
  • Compliance with RCHs “Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases” procedure
Responsibilities

This is a permanent part time role for 30.4 hrs per fortnight within the Victorian Infant Hearing Screening Program.
You will be responsible for managing a team of Hearing Screeners located in Fitzroy. You will be responsible for the provision of leadership to the staff; assistance with recruitment and training; staff performance evaluation; team management; operational responsibility for screening duties; stakeholder relationships; and ensuring quality and standards are met at all times. You will also have a key role in the program’s strategic direction and ongoing evaluation.
Classification for this position will range from AO51-AO55 per annum, plus superannuation.
