As an Area Manager, you play a critical role in the overall coordination and implementation of high-quality traffic control services. This role involves maintaining traffic control operations, ensuring productivity, efficiency, safety, and supervising field staff.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Construction industry experience preferred.
  • Previous traffic control experience is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years construction management experience required.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills with the ability to multi-task and effectively meet deadlines.
  • Experience in addressing conduct and performance issues with geographically dispersed field employees.
  • Well versed in all safety regulations as it relates to traffic management, its service, and facility.
  • Valid WorkSafeBC Traffic Control Person ticket considered an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the General Manager (GM), Dispatch, and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) to coordinate schedules, distribute work efficiently, and address relief needs.
  • Supervise and direct traffic employees in the Dispatch, Fleet, and for site requirements.
  • Ensure field staff comply with regulations, company standards, and policies through education and training.
  • Address the portfolio of clients assigned to them and employee inquiries via phone and email, including staffing, safety concerns, and complaints.
  • Investigate and address complaints from clients, the public, and employees, reporting major incidents.
  • Collaborate with Fleet and Facilities departments to maintain proper inventory and supply of fleet vehicles for new LCTs.
  • Analyze field staff utilization and address non-supply issues.
  • Assist HR and GM with manpower forecasting, planning, and deployment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, procedures, and practices in collaboration with OHS.
  • Site visits for contractor consultations.
