JOB SUMMARY

The Area Manager manages the operational and commercial aspects of the business in a specific geographic region and ensures the smooth running of the area operations by leading a team of regional Area employees, achieving sales targets, maintaining excellent customer service standards and mentorship. Responsibilities include performing a variety of clerical, recordkeeping, cost control measures, P&L statements, and overall branch profitability.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to regularly travel to Branch locations throughout assigned regional area.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
  • Knowledge of local laws, regulations, and standards related to our business.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE*

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D., with a preferred bachelor’s degree. Additionally, candidates must have a valid, state-issued driver’s license with a clean record over the past three years. These qualifications will be reviewed as part of the Background Check and MVR review process.

  • In some states, you may need to become a Notary Public and/or acquire a State Salesperson license for this role. Don’t worry – our company will sponsor and support you through the process!

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequently, bends, kneels, and crouches.
  • Continuous walking, standing, and moving about.
  • Exposure to adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to test-drive automobiles.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Responsibilities
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and training new and current Area Team Members.
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of Area Team Members as assigned.
  • Ensures efficient team oversight including directing Sales Representatives, Branch and Senior Branch Managers, and Assistant Area Managers in daily routines in accordance with operational goals.
  • Provide team support and ensure adequate Team Member coverage across Branches.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles corrective action and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policies.
  • Oversee and manage daily Branch operations of the business in a specific geographic region and conducts visits to assigned Branches within regional area weekly.
  • Provide superb customer service by addressing customer concerns and resolving issues.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and increase Branch and Area operations profitability.
  • Monitor and analyze operational data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Communicate regularly with Senior Leadership to provide updates on regional area performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other regional areas to ensure the smooth flow of information and resources across the company.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and community leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as local laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
