JOB TITLE: VENUE OPERATIONS MANAGER

Salary: £42,000 per annum (Mileage paid at a rate of 45p/mile)
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days per week (including weekends)

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Jenkinsons Caterers have an opportunity for an experienced Venue Operations Manager, a role created due to the companys continued growth. In this position, you will provide management support and operational oversight for a minimum of 6+ wedding venues, ensuring excellent standards of service, operational efficiency, and alignment with business objectives. You will be expected to foster a positive culture, demonstrate a solution-based attitude, and act as a role model for outstanding leadership and management practices, consistently upholding the company’s values and behaviours.
Reporting to the Head of Venue Operations, you will oversee catering operations across a portfolio of exclusive leading wedding venues in the UK, working closely with Catering Operations Managers and their teams to ensure the highest standards of service, presentation, and operational excellence
The Venue Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining exceptional food and drink service standards at each venue, achieving the objectives outlined in service level agreements with the clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Head of Venue Operations, this role involves managing and supporting a group of Catering Management Teams across a multiple wedding venues, ensuring high standards of professional practice that meet the varied needs of clients and guests. The Venue Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining exceptional food and drink service standards at each venue, achieving the objectives outlined in service level agreements.
· Build, and maintain management teams for each Wedding Venue location who maintain strong working relationships with each other and external stake holders (existing clients), recruiting, training and retaining the right Managers and ensuring sufficient resources for smooth operations.
Coach and aid all managers within the area, setting objectives on a monthly basis, reviewing performance and giving feedback, so that they exceed their own service standards and strategic objectives and grow within their role.
· Create and encourage Catering Managers to establish and actively manage partnerships with new and existing external stakeholders such as clients, to best achieve desired outcomes for the Wedding Venue service to uphold service standards, meet guest needs, and maximise business opportunities. Encourage Jenkinsons teams to build strong relationships with these stakeholders.
Where there are occasions when improvements are required in this area you must manage and support the catering management teams to incorporate the relevant actions into the service development plan.
· Participate in structured weekly check-in meetings with the Head of Venue Operations to review site performance, KPI achievement, employment relation matters, upcoming weddings/events, and strategic priorities around service operations, service standards and drinks standards.
Monitor and respond to customer and client feedback, identifying trends, celebrating successes, and addressing areas for improvement.
