Responsibilities

The Area Profit Protection Manager plays a vital role in reducing shrinkage and protecting JD Sports’ people, products, and profits. Working with the Senior Territory Profit Protection Manager and Stock Audit Manager, you’ll oversee audits, investigate incidents, and drive compliance with risk management policies.
You’ll partner with store teams to identify issues, deliver training, and support corrective action, while also building links with law enforcement to resolve cases of loss or criminality.
This role suits someone detail-focused, proactive, and passionate about creating a safe and compliant retail environment.

Reporting into the Senior Territory Profit Protection Manager, this role is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Provide highly visible specialist support to designated Area and to the Senior Territory Profit Protection Manager in shrinkage reduction strategies, in line with the Group Profit Protection Strategy
  • Following the direction of the Stock Audit Manager, oversee and manage Stock Audits in line with company procedures, attending the audits where required.
  • Investigate and report on all losses or incidents that relate to criminality by establishing key contacts within the relevant law enforcement agencies
  • Actively identify areas of non-compliance to risk management policies and complete on-site investigations into the stock audit result.
  • Complete regular in depth procedural and process compliance reviews, reporting the results and implementing plans to help with correction action required.
  • Conduct training with new and establish store teams when required
  • Investigate and follow up on all reported incidents that impact on shrinkage or inventory integrity.
