The Area Reservations Coordinator at the Grand Hyatt Denver and Thompson Denver works closely with the Events Team and Group Meeting Planners to ensure excellent customer service and the highest level of accuracy in bookings is always provided. Candidate will manage group reservations and group rooms inventory as part of the event planning process, specifically.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring all group blocks and reservations are entered and maintained accurately.
• Maintains relationship with Event Manager and client up to arrival, for all matters pertaining to guest room usage, group cut-off, monitoring group pickup, managing rooming list changes, and tracking the inventory for individual call-in groups.
• Has strong attention to detail related to routing, billing, and auditing other reservations for accuracy.
• Cross reference Group Detail Report with system information and ensure accuracy.
• Assist with the unique billing requests of Entertainment segment groups based on contract and client needs.
• Reservations duties and responsibilities will be assigned outside of managing group room blocks with individual reservation requests as needed
• Auditing of deposit and cancellation postings within Reservations.
• Maintains a favorable and productive working relationship with all company associates to foster and promote a positive environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications for this position:

• Excellent multi-tasking, time-management, problem solving and organizational skills required
• Must be able to prioritize departmental responsibilities to meet due dates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with clients and colleagues
• Experience with MS Excel
• Ability to navigate multiple systems quickly and efficiently
• Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
• Must be flexible and adaptable to a dynamic evolving environment

• Understanding of rooms merchandising and yield management processes preferred

The rate for this position is $20.50/hour
