ITN Food Corporation, a leader in ethnic food production, import, and distribution, seeks an experienced Area Sales Manager for Quebec & Nova Scotia to drive expansion. Manage sales, business development, build relationships, and represent our high-quality South Asian products through fieldwork, team management, and strategic planning.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Oversee sales operations and portfolio in Quebec & Nova Scotia to drive revenue growth via key accounts and market expansion. This full-time, permanent role involves team leadership, strategic planning, product prospecting, and cross-functional collaboration. Ideal for results-oriented leaders in dynamic environments. Reports to National Sales Manager at Head Office.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: 3–5 years in sales, 2+ in management; preferably South Asian/Middle Eastern markets; food industry a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Sales Performance: Proven success in exceeding targets, leading teams, and securing new business.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in CRM (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) and sales analytics.
  • Communication: Excellent skills in communication/negotiation; bilingual English/French required; Gujarati, Hindi, Urdu a strong asset.
  • Adaptability: Handle challenges, flexible schedules, extensive travel (including weekends).
  • Resourcefulness: Thrive in lean team environments, managing multiple functions with limited resources.

Responsibilities
  • Sales Management & Leadership: Manage portfolio and lead lean sales team to meet revenue/profit targets through coaching, tracking, and motivation.
  • Territory Management: Handle direct sales and development in Quebec and Halifax (Nova Scotia), including market visits for new customers and relationship building.
  • Relationship Management: Forge strategic partnerships with retailers, restaurants, and outlets via in-person meetings, negotiations, and customized solutions.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities using market insights to enter new segments and boost revenue.
  • Product Strategy: Prospect and present products’ unique qualities, aligning with customer needs and company goals.
  • Customer Service: Resolve escalated issues like complaints or returns to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Portfolio Management: Resourcefully oversee full portfolio with lean team, covering sales, development, CRM, ordering, and merchandising for efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with back-end operations, corporate functions, and senior management to align strategies and share field insights.
  • Market Awareness: Monitor trends, competitors, and preferences; provide actionable feedback for decisions.
  • Event Representation: Lead trade shows and events to enhance visibility and networks.
