Location Flexible (Remote with Travel) | Base up to £55,000 DOE + OTE (30%+ uncapped)
The Opportunity
An established and growing provider of industrial printing, inkjet, coding, marking, and labelling solutions is seeking an ambitious Area Sales Manager to drive business growth across the UK. With a diverse product portfolio including CIJ (Continuous Inkjet), TIJ (Thermal Inkjet), TTO, Laser, and Labelling solutions, this role offers the chance to work with a wide range of manufacturing customers in food, beverage, pharma, and industrial sectors.
This is a field-based role with the flexibility to work remotely, covering a UK-wide territory depending on your location and experience. You’ll combine new business development with account management, delivering tailored solutions that meet the needs of end-users and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across target manufacturing sectors.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing accounts, ensuring long-term customer value.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, site visits, and technical consultations.
  • Collaborate with marketing on lead-generation campaigns and exhibitions.
  • Deliver against sales targets with strong forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven track record in capital equipment / industrial printing / coding & marking sales.
  • Strong understanding of CIJ, TIJ, TTO, Laser, and labelling systems.
  • Consultative and solution-focused sales approach, with excellent communication skills.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to manage a remote role effectively.
  • Based anywhere in the UK with willingness to travel.

Package

  • Competitive base salary up to £55,000 DOE
  • OTE 20%+ uncapped commission

This position is suited to proven Area Sales Managers or Sales Engineers from the CIJ, TIJ, TTO, Laser, or Labelling industry. It could also be an excellent next step for Field Engineers, Technical Service Specialists, or Project Engineers who have strong product knowledge and customer-facing experience, and are now ready to make the move into consultative sales.
