EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of capital equipment sales experience in a Print Industry market.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or equivalent experiences

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Proven experience in technical sales, ideally with background from the Corrugated Printing Industry (Flexo).
  • Strong prospecting skills to gain new customer accounts.
  • Demonstrated track record of sales success (achievements, rankings, stats)
  • Experience leading and developing agency sales programs.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and in writing) in German and English.
  • Ability to work independently and think strategically.
  • Capable to execute strategies focused on organizational growth.
  • Negotiating & Presentation Skills
  • Commercial & Contractual know how
  • Experience working in a matrix organization
  • Proficiency in computer software applications and financial know-how
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally

Responsibilities

As an Area Sales Manager you:

  • Represent, promote and sell our equipment and solutions
  • Proactively identify and acquire new potential customers in the Commercial, Offset Print and Flexible Packaging market and other sectors beyond where our equipment could be deployed.
  • Build and execute for your region strategies for lead generation and customer acquisition to expand our customer base.
  • Discover new markets, products, and adjacent service opportunities within your territory.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Maintain and develop long-term relationships with existing customers, OEM’s and agents / distributor to understand current and future needs.
  • Make periodic visits to customers, OEM’s and agents / distributors.
  • Identify and analyze customer requirements to recommend a most suitable solution
  • Negotiating terms and pricing on sales contracts.
  • Are accountable for the timelines and the quality of the offers and orders
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with excellent support, consultation, and presentation skills.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with other departments; ensure customer purchase and service requirements are being met.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities and pipeline progress in our D365 CRM system.
  • Prepare short- and long-range sales forecasts for assigned accounts and territories.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales leaders to establish quarterly and yearly fiscal performance order and margin goals.
  • Set sales commitments, budgets, and sales/marketing strategies for the region.
  • Maintain reports, records, files, logs, etc., pertinent to function.
  • Participate in trade shows and other industry events to represent our brand
  • Other duties as assigned.
