JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Area Sales Manager to join our Home Sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Irish Foodservice Market, strong customer relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of driving sales growth with customers within the Irish Foodservice Market for both fresh and frozen product ranges (ready-to-eat).

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Formal 3rd level business degree.
  • Proven experience in Account Management within the foodservice market.
  • Understanding of the foodservice industry landscape.
  • Commercial awareness with strong negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet customers and attend industry events.
  • Ability to successfully network.
  • Good IT literacy, including standard Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven track record of being a team player.
  • A solution-oriented approach, capable of developing tailored selling strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers in the foodservice sector.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customer partnerships & capable of building strong relationships.
  • Sales Growth and Strategy:
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to exceed annual sales budget.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and introducing new products to new and existing customers including ‘Ready to Eat’ products.
  • Ability to identify and target potential new customers, building a product pipeline of leads through research, networking, and experience.
  • Product Knowledge and Expertise:
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of our product range and the potential to various foodservice customers.
  • Provide expert guidance to clients on range of products.
  • Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
  • Work closely with internal teams, including operations, and new product development, to ensure high quality delivery of products and services.
  • Participate fully with the rest of the sales management team.
  • Negotiation and Contracts:
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients while adhering to company policies and sales budget.
  • Ensure contracts are accurate, compliant, and aligned with both parties’ expectations.
