Description We are seeking a dynamic Area Sales Manager to lead our ready-mix concrete business across the Charleston market. Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and strategic direction to the regional ready-mix concrete sales team, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer needs. Drive profitable growth by developing and executing effective sales strategies tailored to both commercial and residential customer segments. Lead, motivate, and develop the regional sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets. Collaborate with the Regional General Manager to align sales initiatives, forecasts and performance goals. Work with the Area Operations Manager to ensure delivery of a world-class customer experience, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities and maintain competitiveness and profitability. Direct the sales organization to achieve volume, margin, and customer satisfaction goals. Establish and maintain relationships with key accounts, contractors, and developers. Oversee pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and bid processes to ensure profitability and market competitiveness. Collaborate with marketing and technical services teams to support sales initiatives and enhance customer engagement. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business administration, construction management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in the ready-mix, aggregates, or construction materials industry. Proven experience in sales management, preferably within the construction materials or ready-mix concrete industry. Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and business objectives. Strong leadership and team development skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to travel regularly within assigned area and occasionally outside the region as business needs require.
