Description

As the Area Sales Manager for Germany, you will be a true player-coach: you will take direct responsibility for your own sales accounts in Berlin while also leading a small high-performing team (two direct reports) in North Rhine-Westphalia. You will spearhead our commercial strategy in Germany, drive growth, partner with healthcare professionals, and build our brand in the men’s health space.

This is a highly entrepreneurial role in an exciting, early-stage business where you will be encouraged to contribute ideas and help shape the company’s trajectory.

What you will be doing

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of two sales professionals, working hands-on with them to define Account plans, set targets and track performance.
  • Manage your own portfolio of accounts and key customers, ensuring achievement of volume, revenue and margin objectives.
  • Define, in collaboration with senior leadership, the German market strategy for men’s health (HCP partnerships, educational platforms, awareness initiatives).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with HCPs, Key Opinion Leaders, and other stakeholders; act as a trusted partner.
  • Execute market activation initiatives: educational programmes, awareness campaigns and brand initiatives in collaboration with Marketing & Medical Affairs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and commercial / regulatory developments in the German men’s health/therapeutic area.
  • Ensure that commercial operations are conducted in full compliance with regulatory, ethical and company policy requirements.
  • Provide performance reporting and insights to senior management (monthly).

Who You Are and What You Bring

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified as a Pharmareferent (§ 75 AMG) or holds an equivalent scientific qualification 5 AMG or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience in a relevant healthcare environment (pharmaceuticals and diagnostics) in Germany.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading/managing a team (2 + direct reports) and having your own commercial responsibilities (player-coach style).
  • Proven track record of delivering growth (volume, revenue, margin) in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.
  • Excellent German language skills (native or near-native) and strong English proficiency.
  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments (HCPs, KOLs, payers, distributors) and build trust quickly.
  • Strong strategic, analytical and planning capabilities, comfortable working with data, forecasting and CRM tools.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: you are proactive, take ownership, are comfortable with ambiguity and change, and thrive in a growth phase company.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Germany and to the UK when required.
