Job Description The Area Sales Manager will oversee direct sales activities to customers throughout the Curicó and San Fernando regions in Chile. This role involves managing the full range of products available within the assigned territory. It requires regular travel within the designated area, along with occasional international travel based on the needs of the LATAM business. Primary Job Functions Achieve individual sales targets. Maintain and foster close relationships with customers and major key accounts. Regularly visit customer sites to meet engineering, operations, and maintenance personnel. Visit customer sites to observe equipment performance and discuss technologies. Follow up on all customer questions regarding their products and support issues. Be technically proficient with all products sold. Maintain a robust sales pipeline. Track key sales activities, metrics, and results, and accurately report on sales activity and forecasting to senior sales management. Set KPI targets in close cooperation with senior management, aligned with the business area strategy. Adhere to reporting requirements. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of CRM records. Represent the company professionally and follow company protocols/policies. Represent the company at trade shows and industry events. Then submit post-show feedback. Work with the Marketing Manager to provide post-show feedback for trade shows you participate in. Relay market information to inform research and development strategies. Promote a “Safety First” culture throughout the company, our customers, and our industry. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical, industrial, electrical or electronical). 3+ years' experience in selling large capital industrial equipment is a plus. Experience and knowledge of modern business methods and financial control, with practical application skills. Ability to organize and manage clerical work, administration, control systems, and financial resources effectively. Demonstrated experience in managing key accounts. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD. Ability to work in an open office environment as well as customer industrial work facilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong written and spoken English skills are desirable.
