Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

This is a newly created role focused on launching a new product range into the Irish market. While our client already enjoys a strong reputation and extensive customer network across Ireland, this particular brand and product category is being introduced for the first time. As such, the Area Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing the product’s presence with retailers, leveraging existing distributor and trade relationships to open doors and drive early adoption. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Irish division of a globally recognised tools and equipment business. The role of Area Sales Manager is focused on developing the Hardware business unit in Ireland, supporting key brands including hand tools, lighting, and access solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth through a strategic customer portfolio, expanding distribution networks, and developing strong commercial partnerships across wholesale and retail channels.
We’re seeking a commercially driven individual who enjoys field-based relationship building, understands value-added selling, and can contribute to an ambitious and growing business.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maximise sales and margin potential across an assigned customer base aligned with the company’s commercial strategy
  • Strengthen customer relationships and build long-term strategic partnerships
  • Develop new business and distribution opportunities via the 2-step/wholesale model
  • Deliver brand and product education to customers and end users through on-site visits, trade shows, and demonstrations
  • Act as the voice of the customer, sharing market intelligence with internal stakeholders to support product development and strategic planning
  • Collaborate with internal teams (including the Workwear division) to leverage shared customer opportunities
