Are you an expereinced professional with a background in the architectural Ironmongery sector, looking for an exciting opportunity in technical sales?
dormakaba is looking to recruit an experienced architectural hardware sales professional to support a client base in the North of England, ideally based in the Greater Leeds or Greater Manchester area, to work directly with the manufacturers, promoting and specifying our products at industry level.

AN EXPERIENCE THAT MATTERS: YOUR SKILLS

Ideally, we are looking for individuals with 3-5 years sales experience within the Door hardware products sector, who already have a good understanding of the technical elements of door closers, ironmongery and other associated hardware. You also need to demonstrate:

- Excellent ability to manage and prioritise your own work, with the ability to work independently for extended periods
- A previous history of hitting and exceeding sales targets
- Good understanding of MS Office products for administrationCandidates either holding GAI (Guild of Architectural Ironmongers) certification, or working towards this accreditation.

Responsibilities

Our industry sales reps work closely with door-set manufacturers and the wider door industry, looking deep into the technical requirements of their products and what our clients are looking for, in order that we can supply hardware products which meet the test and accreditation requirements set by building regulations.
To do this we need individuals from a sales background who have a real interest in the technical side of hardware, to include how products are tested and accredited, and who are prepared to become the “subject matter expert” for dormakaba in the hardware industry.
The role will mean both actively managing an existing client base as well as identifying and developing new clients. You will also promote dormakaba through active participation and networking with various industry bodies such as ASDMA, BWF, CAB etc). In short, there is a great variety in what you do.
As a Territory salesperson you should be comfortable with achieving / exceeding sales targets and developing & growing your customer base, as well as commercial and operational performance monitoring (via revenue and Margin) to ensure that new business and existing business goals are delivery as expected.
