QUALIFICATIONS

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance is required
  • BA/BS and 8+ years of experience; Masters and 6+ years of experience; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Previous experience supporting customer and the IC
  • Cybersecurity knowledge and awareness of technological CI threats

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experienced, well-rounded, and dynamic Area Security Officer (ASO). This is a non-traditional ASO position, supporting an intel community customer. The candidate must be experienced in customer security procedures and responsibilities, flexible, and be able to react to constant and shifting requirements in a high operational environment with multi-faceted responsibilities.

The primary responsibilities for the position include:

  • Conducting weekly security briefings
  • Tracking clearance requests
  • Mitigating security concerns and incidents
  • Providing specific and targeted security guidance
  • Utilizing and updating security data via customer databases
  • Computation and tracking of all metrics regarding security actions
  • Conducting ad-hoc briefings
  • Providing post-TDY interviews for personnel returning from the field
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and security advisor to management of the assigned personnel
  • General security responsibilities for the customer office as assigned.
