Description · Work with the Columbia project team to identify and fulfill the client’s Conditions of Satisfaction · Communicate the Conditions of Satisfaction and engage the trade partners in fulfilling the conditions · Work with Sector Leader/Project Executive/and Field staff to identify project challenges and facilitate collaborative problem solving · Work in larger project environment and coordinate specific work within overall project · Coordinate progress of sub projects with master schedule, resource coordination, problem solving and conflict resolution · Develop and maintain an open and honest line of communication with the project team · Participate in weekly internal team meetings, project meetings, subcontractor meetings, coordination meetings, safety meetings, internal and external goals meetings and others as needed · Work with superintendent/project manager to prepare and update project schedule during the preconstruction phase · Develop logistics plans, schedules, project approach documents, procurement log, preparation and presentation in interviews · Develop and manage overall project scheduling and planning and report field problems and issues to lead Superintendent or Project Manager · Assist the project manager with subcontractor buyout and procurement process · Ensure compliance of work plan in accordance to Columbia’s safety program, OSHA regulations and other applicable regulatory standards and codes within the project jurisdiction · Address, mitigate and communicate hazards on the job · Hold regular toolbox talks safety meetings to reinforce safety training and ensure use of PPE · Conduct site safety orientations and communicate clear health and safety expectations and perform detailed and thorough documented investigation so fall incidents and injuries · Assist and support in developing a project specific control program, build from a well-coordinated set of construction documents, approved submittals, and accurate dimensional layout · Conduct pre-task meetings with subcontractors before commencing work, establish workflow and quality standard through mockups, and complete subcontractor/vendor evaluations before final completion · Communicate and provide feedback from field staff and provide input to training programs · Engage with subcontractors to collaborate on individual workflow schedules for all of the critical milestones including Certification of Occupancy · Identify, document and collaborate with trade partners to identify and eliminate constraints · Develop, maintain and communicated 2-3 week lookahead to the entire project team · Submit proposals as requested by project sector leader/executives Requirements - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Equivalent defined as any combination of education, training or experience that has been evaluated to be the equivalent of a US Bachelor’s degree. - Must have 2 years of experience working on a construction site as an area/assistant superintendent and/or field engineer.
