As a Armed Security Officer - Court Setting in Las Vegas, NV, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $21.22 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeFri11:00 PM - 07:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and communicating with site leadership and/or local authorities when appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail property, storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and policy violations. Carry authorized firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal standards and post orders while maintaining professional presence and following all applicable laws and client-directed protocols. Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or operational concerns to help support order throughout the location. Minimum Requirements: Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree. Possess an armed guard card and/or license. Be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
