ARMED SECURITY OFFICER – FOOT PATROL Location: Continental Plaza Address: 1330 W. 76th Street, Chicago, IL Pay Rate: $19.25 per hour JOB SUMMARY We are seeking experienced, professional, and dependable Armed Security Officers to provide a safe and secure environment at a residential property. This position requires conducting foot patrols throughout the property, maintaining a strong security presence, responding to incidents, and providing exceptional customer service to residents and visitors. Applicants must be available to work afternoons, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility and reliability are essential. RESPONSIBILITIES * Conduct regular interior and exterior foot patrols of the property. * Monitor the premises for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized persons. * Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, emergencies, and incidents. * Enforce property rules and company policies. * Complete accurate daily activity logs and incident reports. * Control access to the property and verify authorized entry. * Provide outstanding customer service to residents, guests, and staff. * Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. * Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum of 1 year of residential armed security experience required. * Valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC). * Valid 40-Hour Firearm Training Certificate. * Valid Illinois FOID Card. * High school diploma or GED. * Valid government-issued photo ID or driver's license. * Must be a United States citizen and provide proof of citizenship. * Must successfully pass a criminal background check. * Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. * Excellent communication, observation, and report-writing skills. * Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. * Ability to perform continuous foot patrols throughout the shift. * Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. * Ability to climb stairs and respond quickly to emergencies. * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.
