Job Title: Armed Security Officer Company: IronRock Security Location: Lakewood NJ Pay Rate: $25-27/hour Schedules: Afternoons & Overnights FT & PT Position Overview: IronRock Security is seeking a reliable and experienced Armed Security Officer with 5+ years of armed security experience to oversee access control at higher education center in Lakewood, NJ. This role requires a strong presence, excellent communication skills, and prior experience with access control. The guard will help ensure site coverage, support fellow officers, and maintain a safe environment for staff and students. Responsibilities: Manage and monitor access control points Conduct regular patrols of the residential property Write clear incident and daily activity reports Support scheduling coordination and communicate staffing needs Maintain a professional and customer-friendly presence Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies appropriately Requirements: Previous security experience required 5+ years of law enforcement and/or armed security experience Access control experience required SORA License Valid driver's license (required for periodic mobile patrols) Strong communication and report-writing skills Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Compensation & Benefits: $25-27/hour Full-time and part-time opportunities available Medical insurance available to full-time employees working 30+ hours IronRock pays 50% of the employee-only medical premium Benefits begin the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment Dental & Vision insurance available (company contributes to employee rate) 401(k) available after 1 year of employment IronRock matches 10% of employee contributions Supportive team environment and advancement opportunities To Apply: Submit your resume with relevant security and access control experience.
