Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon05:45 PM - 06:00 AMSat05:45 PM - 06:00 AMSun05:45 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and appropriate public sector contacts. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and help to control movement of people, vehicles, and materials in accordance with post orders and location requirements. Support order at the location by observing inmate-related, staff-related, and visitor-related activity as directed, reporting policy violations, contraband concerns, and/or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age. An armed guard card/license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
