Description
We’re looking for an experienced Arrangements Assurance Consultant to support the delivery and ongoing uplift of our assurance framework for Schemes and Facilities arrangements. This is a key assurance role, responsible for designing, coordinating and leading risk‑based assurance activity across underwriting, claims and delegated authority arrangements. You’ll apply a proportionate, outcomes‑focused assurance approach, forming independent conclusions that inform governance, remediation and continuous improvement. Just as important, you’ll build strong, trusted relationships with scheme and facility partners through high‑quality, value‑adding engagement. This role suits someone with strong insurance knowledge, sound judgement, and the confidence to provide constructive challenge in a complex stakeholder environment. Key Responsibilities * Design, coordinate and lead delivery of the Arrangements Assurance Framework for Schemes and Facilities, applying agreed principles, methodology, scope and minimum standards * Maintain the annual assurance plan and review schedule, partnering with stakeholders to prioritise activity based on risk and emerging issues * Lead end‑to‑end on‑site and remote assurance reviews (e.g. underwriting, claims, delegated authority, referrals), including scoping, testing, evidence gathering and documentation * Determine and recommend the most appropriate assurance approach (partner attestations, third‑party assurance, self‑assessments and/or direct testing) and escalate where risks or requirements are unclear * Prepare clear, concise assurance reports, forming evidence‑based conclusions and ratings that highlight impacts to risk, compliance and customer outcomes * Support issue and remediation management, including monitoring actions, confirming capture in IRIIS, and escalating overdue or ineffective remediation * Analyse themes and trends to identify systemic compliance, conduct, brand and financial risks, sharing insights with relevant forums   What You’ll Bring * 5+ years’ experience in the insurance industry * Strong underwriting background with exposure to assurance, audit or compliance activities * Proven experience building and managing effective stakeholder and partner relationships * Experience interpreting contracts and applying risk management techniques to assurance activity * Ability to design and deliver risk‑based assurance reviews, including scope, sampling, reliance and evidence standards * Strong analytical capability with high attention to detail and sound judgement * Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear reporting, constructive challenge and influence at all levels   You’ll play a meaningful role in strengthening assurance outcomes across complex insurance arrangements, with exposure to senior stakeholders, partners and governance forums. This is a great opportunity to combine your technical insurance expertise with influence, insight and continuous improvement. If this sounds like the challenge you have been waiting for, apply today!
