Description Michael Schwartz is the selected catering partner at the yearly Design Miami Art Fair. Design Miami is located across from the Convention Center where Art Basel attendees are, which allows easy access to the big white tent where the Design Miami Art Fair is located. This year we will feature a Pop Up Cafe showcasing our Michael's Genuine Cafe favorites that include salads, snacks, sandwiches and main entrees. If working at the cafe, expect to work 8-10 hour shifts depending on volume. We will provide a family meal for all cafe employees. In addition to our Pop Up Cafe we have a series of evening events that we are hosting, with a majority being cocktail style parties. Events will be 2-3 hours mainly. When working the events, expect to work anywhere from 6-8 hours. Schedule: The schedule will be sent out 1-2 weeks prior to the events. Load in day (not required but if you want to make some additional $$$, let us know): 11/30 at 9AM. Most likely to be 5-7 hours of work. Training Day plus additional loading in: 12/1 at 9AM. Most likely 6 hours. Restaurant and Event Hours: Tuesday 12/2-Sunday 12/7. Shifts will be anywhere from 5-12 hours. Please let us know your availability. We recommend having full availability. Sunday will be a closeout shift where we'll break down the cafe and consolidate all of our materials so our load out day isn't too bad. Think 8-10 hours Load out day (not required but if you want to make some additional $$$, let us know): 12/8 at 9AM. Most likely to be 7-8 hours of work. Daytime Cafe Uniform: -Black T-Shirt -Dark Blue jeans (you must bring. Please no holes). -Black shoes (Non-Slip. Doesn't have to be dressy). Event Uniform: -Black Collared Shirt (you must bring) -Black Pants (you must bring. Please no holes). -Black shoes (Non-Slip. Doesn't have to be dressy). Compensation: $18 (Depending on experience and location) Hourly plus tips split amongst all positions (Service Charges will be added to all checks). All checks will be given out the following Friday after the event has closed. We will work on providing you with your hard earned money as soon as we can. Taxes will not be taken out and you will have to sign a 1099 form on the first day you work the event.
