We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual who is:

✔ Experienced in working with workshop machinery, tools, and equipment.
✔ Knowledgeable about health & safety regulations in a D&T environment (training can be provided).
✔ A proactive problem-solver with excellent organisational skills.
✔ A strong communicator who enjoys working with young people.
✔ Keen to learn and develop within an educational setting.
Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential – we welcome applications from those with industry experience in engineering, carpentry, manufacturing, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Prepare materials and resources – Ensure all tools, materials, and equipment are ready for practical lessons, supporting teachers and students in the safe use of machinery.
Maintain equipment & stock – Oversee the upkeep of tools, machinery, and materials, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. ‍
Provide in-class support – Assist students with practical tasks, demonstrating correct techniques and promoting a culture of safety.
Assist in lesson planning & displays – Support teaching staff by preparing resources, creating engaging displays, and helping develop exciting project-based learning.
Encourage innovation & creativity – Foster a love of design and making among students, helping them bring their ideas to life.
Ensure a safe learning environment – Follow all safeguarding and health & safety protocols, maintaining risk assessments and COSHH records.
