This position ensures that all artistic elements meet the highest standards of quality and consistency while aligning with the game’s technical requirements. Acting as a creative visionary and strategic leader, the Art Director guides a specific art team (e.g. concept, visual effects), fosters innovation, and drives collaboration across disciplines. By setting clear artistic benchmarks and introducing cutting-edge practices, the Art Director transforms ideas into visually compelling experiences that resonate with players and elevate the overall production value. What you‘l'l’do Art Direction & Visual Benchmark Understand and apply the art direction of the project, communicate the artistic vision and style guide to the local team. Ensure consistency of visual identity across all art production. Team Leadership Lead and mentor local concept design and visual effects team, fostering creativity and collaboration, and development of strong artistic skills. Provide constructive feedback and coaching to strength art team core competency to improve artistic quality and production efficiency. Production Oversight Establish artistic benchmarks and references for asset production. Conduct quality reviews of art team to ensures unified and high-quality standards delivery. Collaborate with animation, technical team to align art with gameplay and technical constraints. Innovation & Standards Stay ahead of industry trends and integrate new technologies to enhance production quality and efficiency. Set best practices and sustainable solutions for anticipated artistic and technical challenges. Communication Act as the primary voice of the art team in major production meetings. Maintain transparent progress reporting to stakeholders. Qualifications Qualifications Extensive experience in game art production, including at least 2 years in a lead or director role. Strong understanding of 3D art pipelines, technical constraints, and game engines. Proficiency in 2D and 3D software tools and asset creation processes. Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills. Deep knowledge of visual trends and industry-standard tools. Passion for video game art and market awareness.
