QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 5–7+ years of experience in visual design or art direction, ideally with a focus on social and digital content
  • A strong portfolio of brand work across social, editorial, and campaign
  • Expert-level design instincts with a deep understanding of photography, layout, typography, and motion
  • Hands-on experience creating for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging platforms
  • Strong experience in managing internal teams and on-set production teams
  • Proven ability to translate strategic objectives into inspiring, platform-specific creative
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, social, creative, and external partners
  • Skilled in multi-tasking, highly organized, with strong presentation skills and the ability to build beautiful decks
  • Passion for beauty, fashion, wellness, and the goop aesthetic

Responsibilities

The Art Director will serve as the right hand to the Creative Director, leading social art direction and collaborating across teams to concept and execute seasonal campaigns for goop beauty and G. Label (as needed). This role will shape the visual identity of our social presence, driving forward high-impact content rooted in storytelling and cultural relevance. You will partner with creative, social, and marketing teams to create cohesive, engaging rollouts for product launches and brand initiatives across all platforms.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner closely with the Creative Director to support and elevate campaign concepts, bringing innovative and ownable creative ideas to the table
  • Lead art direction for goop’s social channels, working hand-in-hand with the social and content teams to create a best-in-class visual presence, and taking the full lead on social media campaign productions when needed
  • Concept and pitch campaign visuals and activations for seasonal beauty and fashion launches
  • Build and present decks for internal and external use, pulling research and visual references to support creative strategy
  • Collaborate with social and brand teams to develop rollout strategies for goop beauty and G. Label (as needed) launches
  • Own the social visual strategy, maintaining consistency across channels while evolving and pushing creative boundaries
  • Stay deeply connected to cultural and platform trends, bringing fresh ideas and visual storytelling techniques to the work
