Starting Pay: $16.00 About the Role As an Art & Drama Specialist at Pathfinder, you combine creativity and compassion to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities explore self-expression through art and drama. In this role, you support people in building skills, confidence, and meaningful community connections through the Studio Collective and other creative programming. Basic language, writing, and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation. Demonstrated ability to support people with disabilities. Ability to work a flexible schedule if needed. Ability to teach and enable art experiences. Crisis prevention, intervention, and teaching skills. Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, and safe driving record. Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language. Be able to run, squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, push and pull against potential resistance, implement non-physical and approved physical interventions and CPR with people supported when needed. shall have adequate vision, writing, and documentation skills to perform the job's essential functions.
Responsibilities
The specialist will teach and support art and drama skills in individual and group settings, coordinate drama practices, and assist with public performances while implementing Individual Support Plans.
