Description ACCESS is Hiring a Full-time Art Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to inspire students through the power of art. Join our team and make a difference in the lives of our students! Requirements Responsibilities: - Develop and implement art lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational goals - Teach students various art techniques and skills, including drawing, painting, ceramics,, and mixed media - Provide guidance and support to students with special needs, including those with autism or other learning disabilities - Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression - Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback on their artwork - Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate art into cross-curricular projects - Organize and display student artwork for exhibitions or showcases - Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in art education. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Art Education preferred. Teaching degree/certification and experience in related field can be substituted - Experience working with students with disabilities preferably in a classroom setting - Strong knowledge of various art techniques, materials, and tools - Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations - Familiarity with literacy education principles is a plus - Experience mentoring or tutoring students is highly desirable
