Description Spend Your Summer Making Art That Matters ACCESS Academy is hiring a Summer Art Teacher! If you love creativity, connection, and making a real impact with students, this is a unique opportunity to bring art to life in a meaningful way. Our students learn differently, and your creativity can help them shine. What You’ll Do Lead fun, hands-on art activities (drawing, painting, ceramics, mixed media) Create a classroom environment where students feel supported, confident, and excited to create Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with learning differences Encourage self-expression, creativity, and confidence through art Collaborate with a supportive team to create a positive summer experience What We’re Looking For Experience working with students with learning differences, preferably in a classroom setting Background in Art Education or a related field (degree preferred, not required) Strong knowledge of art techniques and materials Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans Patient, flexible, and able to connect with a variety of students Strong communication and teamwork skills Experience mentoring or tutoring students is a plus Why This Role Stands Out A chance to do meaningful work without the full school-year demands A fun, supportive environment where creativity is encouraged The opportunity to make a lasting impact in a short time Summer Details Starts June 1, with flexible start options available Runs through early August, with flexibility around end dates If you’re looking for something meaningful, creative, and a little different this summer—we’d love to connect.
