Position: Art Technician
Location: Barnet, North London
Hours: 8:15 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £110-£115 per day
Start: April 2025
Contract: Temp to Perm contract, permanent contract could be offered September or December 2025
Join a vibrant secondary school in Barnet North London, as an Art Technician. This school has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and is eager to welcome a passionate art graduate to their team. Interviews will be conducted asap, with the start date currently set for April 2025.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ART TECHNICIAN:

  • University Degree in Art or a related field
  • Creative individual with design skills
  • Strong GCSE/A Level results
  • Strong knowledge of art techniques and materials
  • Safeguarding training and valid DBS (we can support with this)

Responsibilities

ART TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and set up materials and equipment for art classes and practical lessons.
  • Support with creating whole-school art displays
  • Order materials and equipment in art whilst also assisting with lessons.
  • Maintain and organize art studios, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Assist teaching staff in delivering practical lessons, workshops, and demonstrations.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of art supplies and resources.
  • Support students with their practical work, fostering a love for art and promoting hands-on learning.
