Description

Description:
We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking AI / Process Automation Team Lead to drive the adoption of modern tools and intelligent systems that optimize engineering workflows and compliance-related processes. This role will be instrumental in modernizing quality legacy practices, enabling our engineers to focus on high-value tasks, and ensuring data integrity and regulatory traceability throughout the engineering lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to coordinate, lead and participate in project(s) consisting of engineers, AI designer, and professionals involved in the AI automation, configuration, software update, design, and evaluations of new and existing applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a 3–4-person team to identify, design, and implement AI- and automation-driven improvements across nuclear engineering domains (design, analysis, documentation, configuration management, etc.).
  • Collaborate with responsible organizations to ensure all solutions meet cybersecurity, IT, and NRC/regulatory standards for safety-critical systems. Develop and deploy intelligent tools (e.g., LLMs, scripting, AI copilots) that streamline tasks such as document generation, data validation, engineering change tracking, and configuration control.
  • Ensure all solutions meet cybersecurity, IT, and NRC/regulatory standards for safety-critical systems.
  • Build an automation roadmap aligned with organizational priorities, and communicate value through measurable KPIs (e.g., time savings, error reduction, throughput improvement, etc.).
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies in AI, Machine Language (ML) and automation, and evaluate their applicability within nuclear environments.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, digital fluency, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Monitor and manage project performance, including schedule, budget, reporting, and internal relations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and control project risk.
  • Manage scope impacts and potential changes.
