We're hiring a Senior AI / Machine Learning Engineer for a growing European GreenTech business that is making a significant investment in AI across its technology platform.

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to build real production AI, with the freedom to explore new approaches while still being responsible for making them reliable enough to use at scale.

There are two backgrounds that could work particularly well for this position.

🧠 Machine Learning Engineer

You may come from a strong ML background and enjoy tackling prediction and optimisation problems using large, complex datasets.

Your experience could include:

• Python and modern ML frameworks
• Deep learning
• Predictive modelling and forecasting
• Training and improving models
• Feature engineering
• Experiment design and model evaluation
• Deploying ML into production
• Monitoring and improving model performance over time

🤖 AI Engineer

Alternatively, you may be a strong software engineer who has specialised in the newer generation of AI applications.

Your experience could include:

• LLMs and LLM APIs
• AI agents and agentic workflows
• RAG and retrieval
• Embeddings
• Tool/function calling
• Structured outputs
• AI evaluation and observability
• Building scalable backend services around AI

You don't need to be an expert in both profiles.

The team is interested in someone with genuine depth in either ML or AI engineering, provided you're comfortable building software that ultimately needs to work in production.

What you'll be doing

You'll take ownership of technically challenging AI/ML problems and have room to determine the best way to solve them.
