The role supports the agency’s digital transformation by applying advanced analytics, machine learning and automation to improve environmental monitoring, compliance, decision-making and service delivery. ABOUT YOU To be successful in this role, you will have the following key knowledge and experience: * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess data quality, identify patterns, and propose evidence-based solutions. * Demonstrated experience designing, developing, training, evaluating and deploying machine learning and artificial intelligence models to solve complex business or operational problems. * Proficiency in programming languages and tools relevant to machine learning and data analysis (e.g. Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, SQL). * Experience working with large and diverse datasets, including data processing, feature engineering, model optimisation and validation. * Experience applying cloud-based and/or on-premise machine learning platforms and deployment tools (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, containerisation technologies). * Ability to communicate complex technical concepts, model outputs and data insights clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders Also, it is an essential requirement of this role for the successful candidate to hold a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
