JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Artisan to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a particular focus on all aspects of bread production, including scaling, maintaining a sourdough starter, mixing, baking and sorting the bread for daily deliveries. This position is an afternoon/evening position starting at 3pm. Weekend availablity is required.

SKILLS

  • Previous experience with sourdough breads in a commercial environment
  • Experience in food production and preparation within a culinary environment
  • Strong baking skills with knowledge of various pastry techniques
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen.
  • Ability to lift flour bags of up to 50 pounds
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with a team
  • A background in culinary arts or related fields is a plus, along with general kitchen experience
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 32 – 45 per week

  • Prepare and bake a variety of breads
  • Proofing, scoring and baking bread ensuring visual appeal, consistency and quality.
  • Package or sort finished products for sale, maintaining freshness and presentation standards.
  • Assist in food preparation tasks, including measuring ingredients and mixing doughs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, following all food safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production flow
  • Assisting other evening crew members with other baking duties as required
  • Follow all food handling guidelines to ensure the safety and quality of products.
