Department: Facilities & Services Section: Maintenance Position reports to: Team Leader Plumbing Grade: 10 Direct reports: Supervisor, Team Leader Purpose To carry out plumbing maintenance and installations through quality workmanship in a safe, efficient, and professional manner, ensuring compliance with set standards and laid down procedures. Key Responsibilities · Execute tasks in an accountable manner to support a positive and cohesive work environment. · Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of water supply, drainage, and sewer systems. · Accurately complete work orders and provide feedback to the Team Leader. · Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and materials. · Provide material quantities for verification by the Supervisor or his designate for maintenance and rehabilitation projects · Support the Team Leader and collaborate with assistants to ensure timely task completion. · Participate in the review and creation of Standard Operating Procedures and Job Risk Assessments. · Participate proactively in conjunction with other sections on critical requirements in order to achieve set departmental goals · Maintain good housekeeping at the work area and adhere to safety protocols. · Assist in training and mentoring Plumbing Assistants · Maintain good work culture and ethics within the department and be proactive in execution of tasks whenever Team Leader is out of office · Other duties as directed by the area Supervisor or Team Leader · Qualifications Certified ZAQA Grade 12 Certificate. Craft Certificate in Plumbing or equivalent, or 5 years minimum hands-on experience, is an added advantage. Valid Zambian Trades Test certificate is an added advantage. Member of the Plumbers Association of Zambia (PAZA) is an added advantage Experience 2 - 3 years hands-on experience in plumbing maintenance and installation. Experience with water supply infrastructure and sewerage systems. Experience coordinating small teams and leading task execution is an added advantage undefined BEHAVIOURAL TRAITS undefined Accountability and ownership of tasks. Promotes teamwork, respect and cohesion. Able to work with minimum supervision. Good communication and collaboration abilities. Proactive and high safety consciousness.
