Description

PopUp Painting is the leading ‘sip and paint ' company in the UK, having painted with more than 90,000 novices in bars, restaurants and workplaces across the country since 2013.
In our events, guests are guided step-by-step through a painting with a glass of wine in one hand and a paintbrush in the other. Our experiences are all about having a good time together!
We are looking for high-energy creatives and event professionals to run painting events in Cambridge, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds and Ely. A role with us is perfect for anybody in the arts/events industry looking for flexible work, or for someone looking for a creative role to add to their day job or studies. Evening and weekend availability is essential.
The role would involve running at least 4-8 events per month as either an artist or event manager.

As Artist:

  • You’ll guide guests in a fun, accessible manner through paintings in acrylic in under 2 hours. You’ll prepare a demo canvas before events
  • Set up / clean down (we provide all materials)
  • Need to be confident in public speaking (mics provided)

As Event Manager:

  • You’ll be responsible for the overall running and quality of the event, ensuring an excellent customer experience
  • Be responsible for storing and transporting event equipment. Access to a car is preferred.
  • Set up / clean down (we provide all materials)

Pay is per event (3-4 hours) as follows: artist - £70; Event Managers - £60; where Artist/Event Manager is combined - £90. Event support - £40. You will work on a self employed basis. £25,000 pro rata. Where transporting kit, expenses are paid at HMRC rate.
At interview you will be asked to take us through a simple painting, showing how you might present it in a fun and lighthearted manner. Training will be provided for successful candidates.
