Starting Hourly Rate: $20.00 Shift: Per Diem Job Description: Under the direction of the Program Manager of Residential Services, the driver transports agency clients and items as scheduled. Responsibilities: Follow assigned schedule of pickup and drop off of all agency clients. Complete Daily Drivers Log and maintain receipts. Complete errands or deliveries as needed. Inspect agency vehicle for cleanliness and ensure gas and oil levels are maintained. Attend training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and use these techniques to prevent and/or intervene in a crisis situation while transporting clients. Follow all NYS traffic safety laws and report any hazard, damage, malfunction of the vehicles to the appropriate supervisor/administrator in a timely manner. Requirements and Education: High school diploma or GED required, valid NYS Drivers License with positive driving history required; at least one (1) year commercial driving experience preferred; strong written and verbal skills to communicate with colleagues and allied professionals in and outside the agency; ability to work collaboratively and effectively as a team member and maintain confidentiality; must be able to perform the physical demands of the job and drive in all weather conditions.
