Job Description Urgent role Job Title: AS400 Synon Developer Location: Onsite/Hybrid — Greater Dallas, TX or Greater Chicago, IL Experience Required: 5+ years Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced AS400 Synon Developer to support, maintain, and enhance applications running on the IBM i (AS/400) platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Synon (CA 2E) development skills and experience working with legacy business systems in a hybrid onsite environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using Synon (CA 2E) on the AS400/IBM i platform Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions Perform coding, unit testing, debugging, and documentation Support existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and provide production support Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and operations Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards Assist with modernization or migration initiatives, when applicable Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of experience with AS400/IBM i development Strong hands-on experience with Synon (CA 2E) Familiarity with RPG, CL, DB2/400, and related IBM i technologies Ability to analyze and resolve complex system issues Experience working with legacy enterprise applications Strong communication and problem-solving skills Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
