ASBESTOS BULK ANALYST, BRIDGEND

We’re looking for an experienced Asbestos Bulk Analyst to bring their expertise to our established laboratory team. In this role, you’ll apply your knowledge of asbestos identification, quality systems, and HSG248 standards to deliver accurate, high-quality analysis that our clients can rely on. As a key member of the team, you’ll play an important role in maintaining our reputation for technical excellence and supporting the continued success of our business.

Responsibilities

THE TASKS YOU WILL UNDERTAKE WILL INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

  • Carry out asbestos bulk sample identification in line with company quality procedures and HSG248 guidance
  • Ensure all samples are correctly booked in and processed through the laboratory system
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised laboratory working environment
  • Input bulk analysis data and generate accurate certificates using the electronic laboratory database
  • Work in accordance with documented procedures, UKAS accreditation, and quality standards on a day-to-day basis
  • Contribute to internal quality control and external proficiency testing schemes
  • Report analysis results clearly and professionally to clients
  • Follow all health & safety rules and best practices while in the workplace
  • Support the promotion of the company’s services and maintain positive working relationships with clients

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in asbestos bulk analysis
  • BOHS P401 qualification (or equivalent)
  • Previous hands-on laboratory experience
  • Strong IT and data entry skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
