In line with our commitment to these values, we are looking to expand our Sydney team by hiring Asbestos/Hazmat Consultants.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for specialists, located in NSW, with at least 2 years’ experience in asbestos/hazardous materials consulting, backed by a science degree (or higher). You’ll already have, or be close to securing, your Licensed Asbestos Assessor (LAA) accreditation, and you’ll be comfortable working across diverse projects and client environments. You understand the risks and complexities of hazardous building materials and are motivated to deliver accurate, practical, and effective solutions.

Responsibilities

As part of our team, you will:

  • Conduct asbestos and hazardous materials surveys across commercial, industrial, and residential properties.
  • Oversee and supervise asbestos and hazardous materials removal projects.
  • Carry out asbestos fibre air monitoring, bulk sample analysis, and clearance inspections.
  • Prepare qualitative risk assessments and develop hazard control strategies.
  • Analyse building materials, soil, and ore samples for asbestos using PLM with Dispersion Staining.
  • Obtain/maintain NATA Accreditation and ensure compliance with the Asbestos Identification Program (PTA).
  • Contribute to laboratory maintenance, QA programs, and intra-laboratory QA samples.
  • Keep up to date with WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, and industry developments.
  • Communicate directly with clients through meetings, calls, and report presentations.
  • Collaborate with environmental and occupational hygiene teams, while also handling in-house administrative duties.
