Education: Licensed NRSB Radon Measurement Specialist and ME Asbestos Bulk Analyst as well as the completion of the Indoor Air Quality training program.
Experience: 1 year or more of related lab experience within the company.
Other: Ability to communicate effectively with clients and co-workers. Strong math and computer skills. Ability to travel to off-site locations and participate in early or late shifts as needed

Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible to perform all duties in a safe and compliant manner to Northeast Laboratory Services (NEL) and accrediting body standards. Complete tasks and analyses in an accurate and timely manner. Effectively communicate within and outside the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive, log into LIMS, and report client samples.
  • Complete Asbestos, Radon, and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) analyses independently in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Perform all duties within each department in accordance to company’s established laboratory quality and safety guidelines as well as with corresponding certifying body standards.
  • Follow laboratory quality control procedures and proficiency testing.
  • Perform and aid with preventative maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment.
  • Assist with department material and equipment purchases.
  • Assist in reviewing and revising of Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Manuals, and other controlled documents.
  • Assist in the development of new analytical methods or management system procedures as needed.
  • Serve as a technical resource to the company, department members, and clientele.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
