Description:

Overview:
Element has an opportunity for an Asbestos Analyst / Surveyor to join our team at Wylfa power station, North Wales to undertake compliance duties. This is a one site based role (with accommodation provided) and a permanent position, a great time to join a global Testing, Inspection and Certification business!

Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking smoke testing and enclosure integrity checks, background, leak, reassurance, clearance and personal air testing
  • Conduct 4 stage clearances for certification of re-occupation following completion of asbestos removal works
  • Ensuring asbestos contractors on site are adhering to Health and Safety procedures with regards to asbestos
  • Liaising with the clients on a regular basis to provide up to date information
  • Collating accurate information and writing comprehensive reports as required
  • Conducting management surveys, refurbishment and demolition surveys and re-inspections

Skills / Qualifications:

  • It is essential that the candidate must hold the P402, P403 and P404 qualification or the RSPH equivalent
  • History of working within a UKAS accredited consultancy
  • Must be able to show significant demonstrable experience in air-monitoring and 4 stage clearances up to large scale industrial works
  • Have previous experience conducting all aspects of surveying from re-inspections to large scale management, refurbishment and demolition surveys
  • Will be fully conversant with Health & Safety procedures and HSG248 ‘The analyst guide’ in relation to asbestos
  • Preferably familiar with the Teams asbestos software
  • Will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
