Position: Assistant Facilities Manager – Fredericton Education Centre    Employment Type: Permanent    Union: Public Service Alliance of Canada Union (PSAC)    Salary: SBO 4 ($2418 - $3343 biweekly)    PSAC Collective Agreement: 241-e.pdf [https://www2.gnb.ca/content/dam/gnb/Departments/ohr-brh/pdf/ca/241-e.pdf]    As part of the facilities team, the Assistant Facilities Manager is responsible to assist the Facilities Manager in planning and maintaining plant operations and maintenance of schools and other district properties.    Travel throughout Anglophone West School District will be required. The successful candidate may be required to provide their own motor vehicle for travelling in the performance of their regular duties and shall be paid in accordance with the applicable Board of Management Travel Policy.    The successful applicant will:  * Be responsible for daily operations related to the administration of the overall physical plant and management of the computerized Maintenance Management System (MPC), including the assignment and prioritization of repair projects within the Education.  * Participate in Health and Safety and Labour/Management meetings as requested by the Manager. * Conduct technical evaluation of physical plant problems and assign appropriate maintenance personnel. * Respond to inquiries and concerns related to facilities.  * Assist in the preparation of tenders.  * Be responsible for custodial operations and management across ASD-W. * Work regular hours of 7:30am – 3:45pm with one hour lunch.                                                                              There will be a requirement to work evenings (2pm-10pm) 3-5 days per month, as well as1-2 weekend days per month.                                                                                                                                 This will be within the 36.25 hours per week at the regular rate of pay.  * Other duties may be assigned.    Essential Qualifications:    * Graduation from a university or community college and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in engineering or engineering technology.  * Demonstrated computer literacy with strong skills in all MS Office products.  * Good written, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.  * Written and spoken competency in English is required.  * A combination of education and experience may be considered.    Asset Qualifications:  * Experience in management of physical plants, construction projects, facilities maintenance, or building systems.  * Experience in budgeting and expenditure controls.    Essential attributes include:    * The incumbent must have excellent interpretation, analytical, and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, accurately, and in a confidential manner and have excellent communication skills.    Salary:  In accordance with the Public Service Alliance of Canada Union (PSAC), School Business Office 4 based on a minimum of   36.25 hrs/wk.     Thank you in advance for applying.
