Description A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) is seeking a full-time exempt Manager of Academic Affairs on the Mesa, Arizona campus. Duties & Responsibilities: Academic Program Administration Coordinate the logistical planning and implementation of the predoctoral and postgraduate academic calendars, course schedules, and classroom assignments. Ensure timely communication of academic schedules, changes, and deadlines to students, faculty, and staff. Support the management of academic policies, handbooks, and compliance with academic regulations. Curriculum and Course Management Manage the preparation and distribution of course materials, syllabi, and schedules in collaboration with course directors. Maintain up-to-date curriculum records, including course descriptions, credit hours, and instructional methods. Monitor and support the use of learning management systems (e.g., Canvas) and ensure faculty adherence to academic timelines. Student Support and Records Oversee academic documentation, including grade submissions, transcript requests, academic warnings, and student progression tracking. Serve as a point of contact for student academic questions and concerns, directing inquiries appropriately and maintaining confidentiality. Coordinate processes related to remediation, leaves of absence, and academic standing reviews. Accreditation and Data Management Collect, organize, and report academic data to support accreditation (e.g., CODA), institutional reporting, and academic assessment. Assist in preparing documentation for site visits, self-studies, and annual academic reports. Maintain secure and accurate academic records in compliance with FERPA and university policies. Faculty and Committee Support Provide administrative support to academic committees, including the curriculum committee, assessment committee, and faculty meetings. Coordinate the scheduling and documentation of committee meetings, agendas, and minutes. Serve as a liaison between faculty and administrative offices on academic matters. Continuous Improvement and Project Management Identify and implement improvements in academic workflows, systems, and student services. Manage or support special academic projects, such as new course implementations or academic software rollouts. Collaborate with IT, registrar, and student affairs departments to align services and systems. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Required: Bachelor’s degree in education, health administration, higher education, or a related field, or 4-6 years of equivalent experience. Preferred: Master’s degree in higher education administration, public health, or a related discipline. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in academic affairs, program coordination, or curriculum support in higher education. Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills. Experience in a health professions or dental education environment. Familiarity with CODA accreditation standards and academic compliance policies. Knowledge of MS Office and Google Suites. Knowledge of organizational management, operational management, and project management. Knowledge with Learning Management Systems – specifically Canvas.
