THE OPPORTUNITY:

About You:

  • You are an experienced construction lawyer
  • You have experience in the management and co-ordination of legal matters, including land, planning and environment issues and regulatory activities
  • You have experience providing legal, commercial and risk management advice and activities in relation to project planning, development and delivery
  • You have experience in planning and delivery relating to land assembly, planning approvals and environmental matters
  • You have experience in procurement activities, development of tender and contractual documentation and other commercial and/or legal agreements
  • You have the ability to provide advice in relation to general project implementation issues including matters relating to legislation, contracting, interfaces, utility service providers, procurement and matters of public law
  • You have experience interfacing with external legal and commercial advisors to ensure a consistent and agreed approach is taken on legal positions to support a business
  • You have the ability to develop and draft strategies, prepare briefs and papers
  • You are highly focused and driven and are able to contribute to the delivery of public infrastructure and working with high performing project teams to drive exceptional outcomes
  • You have experience working within large projects and enjoy a fast paced and performance focused workplace
  • You have the ability to build strong relationships and competently influence or negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure objectives are met
  • You have the ability to adjust approach in line with changing priorities and adapt to new ways of working or organising work to deliver results
  • You have the ability to work autonomously and prioritise
  • You have a minimum of 10 years’ experience
  • You have a current practising certificate
  • You have the right to live and work in Australia
